We are members of the Religious Society of Friends, more commonly known as Quakers. Anyone is welcome to worship with us, whether you are seeking a spiritual home, looking for a Sunday school for your children, visiting as a member of another religious group, trying to find a place to meditate with others, or are not even sure whether you believe in God. Come as you are. We won't pressure you to join us. Quakers don't have a creed, so we won't try to change your beliefs either. Although the Society of Friends began as a purely Christian group, many Friends now consider themselves universalists and learn from many religious traditions. We worship together for about an hour in what is mostly silence. Although not much is being said, there is much going on as we center together in prayer. Sometimes out of that silence, people rise to speak, sharing messages that come from the holy part of them. We find the honesty and truth revealed in this way to be inspiring, helping us to grow to be better people. Sometimes these inspirations lead to callings and Quakers are often very active making contributions to their communities. Among the historical testimonies that express central values of Quakers are peace, equality, simplicity, and stewardship of the environment. In these times, many people share our concerns! We have an active First Day School for children that usually meets on the first and third Sundays of each month. Please check the Meeting Calendar on this site to confirm the meeting time. We generally ask for children to arrive at First Day School 15 minutes before Meeting starts. It ends when Meeting ends. Our worship starts at 10 am every Sunday. We are located at 142 East Hanover Street in Trenton, NJ. For more information, feel free to contact Fred Millner at FLMillner@aol.com.
