October 2026 Community Barbecue
Weather was cool and wet, but the atmosphere for our Annual Community Barbecue was neither! Bringing everything but the grilling inside created a wonderful environment for interactions and welcoming.
Clerk Joan Ordille sent this message to Trenton Friends after the event::
A big thanks to everyone who participated in yesterday's Community BBQ.
The food was amazing, the activities for the children were so well received, and we had support from many volunteers.
There is so much work that goes into this activity, and it is nourishing on so many levels.
From the organizers, to the cooks, the servers, the setup and cleanup support, thank you for your time and care.
The time spent with neighbors and Friends contributed to a community building day.
In peace,
Joan
The children's activities included pumpkin carving and one of the young peole's creations is pictured on the lefs abofe. The spectacular creation of Graham is on the right. (Graham spent many hours in advance of the event as is CLEARLY evident. Photos were taken by Jim Harford.
