Peacewalkers stop at Trenton Meetinghouse

Veterans For Peace (VFP), an organization that has had support from Trenton Meeting for years, is involved in a Peace Walk that started in May in Maine and will end in Washington, DC in July. Trenton Meeting was asked to help them find overnight lodging in this area from June 9 to 13. We asked Princeton Meeting for help and they provided a place to sleep and breakfast the night of the 9th. Walking from Princeton to Trenton, the VFP folks came to the Meetinghouse in the afternoon and we enjoyed fellowship and food at suppertime. Then the group went to Burlington Meeting House and Center for Conference where Trenton Meeting supported their stay for four nights. During the day, the group went to nearby military and military supplier locations to protest.
